| Know before using | The MRSL controls manufacturing inputs within its stated scope. One formulation status or self-generated facility inventory report does not by itself prove a complete or externally verified chemical inventory, actual order recipe, implementation, worker protection, emissions, wastewater performance, or finished-product compliance. Verify the current version, law, brand program, safety rules, formulation identity and status, complete facility and order records, inventory-verification state, and finished-product RSL and testing requirements. | The record does not validate every size or user, prove bulk conformity, prescribe universal defect classes or AQL, replace testing or inspection, or establish compliance. | Coverage is quilting-specific and uneven by country; businesses can pay for enhanced features, and community or owner updates do not verify inventory, service quality, hours, or availability. | A generated pattern is not independent fit evidence or a production-ready graded block. The result still depends on accurate measurements, the selected design and options, ease assumptions, fabric behavior, construction, and representative test garments. An account stores saved patterns and measurement sets, so review the platform's privacy terms before retaining personal measurements. |

| What the source establishes | ZDHC's current scope defines the MRSL as restrictions on intentional use of listed substances in commercial chemical formulations for textile, leather, rubber, foam, adhesive, and trim processing. Covered inputs include cleaners, dyes, auxiliaries, coatings, finishing agents, maintenance, wastewater-treatment, sanitation, and pest-control chemicals. ZDHC identifies version 3.1 as the current official MRSL, distinguishes formulation conformance from finished-product restrictions, and states that an ordinary Performance InCheck facility inventory is self-generated rather than externally verified. | The record applies version and lot controls from textile testing plus current ISO and ASQ acceptance-sampling boundaries to separate sample approval from bulk release. | QuiltMap describes free public search and free basic listings, community submissions and claims, and country routes covering North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Australia. | FreeSewing's official documentation says the browser editor drafts a selected design in real time from a measurement set rather than scaling or grading a standard-size pattern. Users can adjust design options and export the generated result, including as PDF; saving the pattern to an account is optional and is used to revisit it later. |

How to compare
Use the rows to narrow your next check.
- Choose resources that could solve the same job.
- Eliminate access, scope, or jurisdiction mismatches.
- Read each limitation before following the source.
- Verify project-specific claims with the source or provider.
