Public research queue · no coverage theater

Coverage you can inspect. Gaps we won’t disguise.

See which jobs and regions have maintained routes, which omissions are under research, and why a weak source stays out even when it would make the count look better.

01 · Read the counts

A route count is not a claim of market coverage.

A count meansStitch Authority maintains that many evidence records with a current destination, decision use, limitation, and review date.

A zero meansNo accepted record currently uses that broad region and primary job. It is a research prompt, not permission to add a weak list.

A country meansAt least one external record names that country. It does not establish national completeness or local access.

A listing meansThe source and access route were checked. It does not establish quality, capacity, certification, or fit for a project.

02 · Coverage map

A global technique or pattern system may be sufficient for some tasks; a zero is not automatically a defect. Geography matters most when access, law, shipping, language, or in-person discovery changes the decision.

03 · Task balance

The directory is deepest where evidence is easiest to overstate.

Production and materials have more routes because the handoff risks are high and the source populations differ. Repair remains intentionally smaller.

04 · Open research

Known needs without an accepted route.

These are explicit research questions. A suggestion advances only when it supplies the missing evidence, not merely a plausible name.

No active research question currently meets the public-queue threshold.

21 empty matrix cells remain visible above as research prompts. A zero alone does not create an editorial commitment; repeated search behavior, participant evidence, or a consequential access gap must establish why it belongs in this queue.

05 · Held back or scheduled for recheck

Found does not mean publishable.

These candidates were reviewed and deliberately excluded. The blocker and acceptance test remain public so a future recheck can change the decision without rewriting history.

Held backCanadaRepair & conserve

A distinct national clothing-repair route for Canada

Canadian local events exist, but one city list would not establish national discovery and the global Repair Café map already covers the strongest current cross-country route.

What blocks publication
The reviewed candidates did not provide a maintained Canada-wide clothing-repair population with clearer textile scope or maintenance evidence than the existing global map.
Evidence that moves it
Publish only when a national or multi-province maintainer exposes current clothing-capable records, meaningful geographic narrowing, and a documented inclusion or update path.

Held backParaguaySource production

Inspectable textile and apparel exporter results for Paraguay

A stable government exporter result route would close a country-level production-discovery gap without relying on commercial lead-generation lists.

What blocks publication
REDIEX described a national exporter directory, but the public result population was not sufficiently inspectable and a normal browser currently stops the responsible host with an invalid-certificate error. The broader DIRGE route is a statistical business register, not a textile-sourcing interface.
Evidence that moves it
The responsible public body must first provide a normally validating HTTPS route, then expose a stable result population, textile or apparel narrowing, a clear inclusion signal, and a usable company-level next step.

RecheckMauritiusSource production

Mauritius EDB government e-Export directory

The government onboarding population would complement the existing chamber-member route because the two sources establish different kinds of presence.

What blocks publication
The Fashion result set exposed useful company names, but the checked directory subdomain presented an expired TLS certificate to a normal certificate-validating client. An unsafe handoff is not publishable.
Evidence that moves it
Recheck the normal HTTPS route without bypassing certificate validation, then confirm the result population, Fashion scope, access model, and record-level decision boundaries.

Held backSlovakiaSource production

A canonical textile company route for Slovakia

Norway, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina now have accepted first-party routes, but Slovakia still lacks an equally usable company population for production discovery.

What blocks publication
SATEX exposes an active association, a mixed inclusion model, and member logos, but too little accessible company text for reliable discovery. The Slovak Chamber's current textile, apparel, leather, and footwear section confirms the sector organization and contact route without publishing its named member population.
Evidence that moves it
Publish when a responsible Slovak industry or public body exposes current named companies, a visible inclusion model, stable company-level next steps, and enough activity text to separate manufacturers from importers, collectors, recyclers, service bodies, and municipalities.

Accepted routeSoutheast AsiaChoose materials

Southeast Asia maker-material discovery moved from zero to one

The matrix zero closed after a public-body market guide met the stated material scope, location, current-operation, and decision-boundary threshold.

Evidence that changed the state
The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism describes Tanah Abang as a wholesale textile and raw-material destination, city-owned Perumda Pasar Jaya publishes the Block A location, and a March 2026 Jakarta government release confirms continuing textile trade in Block B.
What remains unproven
One Jakarta market route does not establish complete Indonesia or Southeast Asia coverage, a current stall population, retail access, inventory, seller quality, or project fit.

Accepted routeSouth Africa repair-services archiveRepair & conserve

Africa repair discovery moved from zero to one

The matrix zero closed after a maintained South African archive exposed a current named repair-services population, location context, and a visible inclusion model.

Evidence that changed the state
Twyg's dedicated repair-services taxonomy exposes 16 named records across two pages and locations in five South African cities. Twyg identifies itself as a Cape Town nonprofit media platform, describes the broader directory as a curated population of Sustainable Fashion Awards winners and finalists, and publishes an enquiry route for inclusion.
What remains unproven
This route represents Twyg's curated award and finalist population, not all repair businesses in South Africa or Africa. Many repair offers are limited to a brand's own products, and every service boundary still needs direct confirmation.

Accepted routeSri Lanka government business-directory routeRepair & conserve

South Asia repair discovery moved from zero to one

The matrix zero closed after Sri Lanka's Industrial Development Board exposed an ordinary-browser apparel search with named repair and alteration profiles, district narrowing, and a documented registration-evidence submission step.

Evidence that changed the state
The checked BizConnect repair search returned named Sri Lankan tailor profiles with addresses and district context. Record pages explicitly described damaged-clothing repair, zipper replacement, relining, restyling, or alteration services, and the listing guide requires a business-registration number and supporting document before a profile is submitted.
What remains unproven
A BizConnect profile is business-supplied directory evidence, not an IDB assessment of workmanship, current availability, price, turnaround, accessibility, custody, or project fit. Search results can also omit relevant profiles whose repair text is not indexed.

Accepted routeSingapore paid alteration stalls and coached repair eventsRepair & conserve

Southeast Asia repair discovery moved from zero to two

The matrix zero closed with two complementary Singapore routes: a government stall list for paid clothes alteration and a current community program for account-booked, coached fabric repair.

Evidence that changed the state
Singapore's National Environment Agency links a May 2025 list of 226 hawker-centre repair stalls, including 158 entries labeled Clothes Alteration. Repair Kopitiam separately publishes current monthly event locations, fabric-repair scope, free participation, booking requirements, and the limits of its coached do-it-yourself model.
What remains unproven
Neither route establishes complete Singapore or Southeast Asia coverage. An alteration label does not prove mending or specialist repair, and a Repair Kopitiam booking does not guarantee that an item can be accepted or successfully repaired.

Accepted routeInnovation Norway Fashion company profilesSource production

Norway gained a narrow official fashion-company route

Norway moved out of the consolidated European hold after its official trade-promotion site exposed a stable, current company category with named profiles and usable next steps.

Evidence that changed the state
Business Norway, operated by Innovation Norway, exposed five Fashion company profiles at review time. The population included textile materials, textile recycling, a named knitwear factory, and clothing businesses, with profile descriptions and onward company routes.
What remains unproven
This is a small promotional population rather than the gated TEKO member list or a national factory census. It includes adjacent fashion businesses, can present a Cloudflare human-verification step, and does not prove production location, availability, or provider quality.

Accepted routeLATIA textile and apparel member archiveSource production

Lithuania's member archive moved onto its canonical host

Lithuania moved out of the consolidated European hold when LATIA published the previously test-hosted company population on the association's canonical production domain.

Evidence that changed the state
The canonical LATIA member route now exposes named organizations, activity-rich descriptions, and outbound company links across multiple pages. LATIA separately states that its membership exceeds 120 organizations across production, services, trade, education, and related roles.
What remains unproven
Association membership is not a factory or provider approval. The archive mixes manufacturers with brands, traders, equipment firms, consultants, schools, and research bodies, and some profiles remain sparse.

Accepted routeSPIRIT Slovenia exporter and supplier databaseSource production

Slovenia gained a filterable public supplier database

Slovenia moved out of the consolidated European hold after its public business-development agency exposed a large supplier population with textile, apparel, leather, activity, and company-size narrowing.

Evidence that changed the state
SPIRIT Slovenia's open route describes more than 7,000 exporters and exposed 50 Manufacture of textiles, 38 Manufacture of wearing apparel, and 18 leather-related profiles at review time. Information can come from companies, the chamber, and the public agency.
What remains unproven
Classification or exporter presence does not establish a factory, exact process, production geography, capacity, or approval. Some information is company supplied and record-level review dates are not shown.

Accepted routeForeign Trade Chamber voluntary exporter directorySource production

Bosnia and Herzegovina gained a live chamber exporter route

Bosnia and Herzegovina moved out of the consolidated European hold after the national chamber exposed a live, searchable exporter table with activity, product, market, contact, and tariff fields.

Evidence that changed the state
The checked chamber route returned 1,360 total records and 24 results for a textil search. Records can expose named companies, export goods and markets, contacts, websites, employee counts, stated certificates, and tariff groups; the chamber clearly labels participation voluntary and company supplied.
What remains unproven
The population is incomplete, promotional, and self supplied. Results can include traders and adjacent businesses, lack record-level review dates, and do not establish factory ownership, current operation, available capacity, or provider quality.
