Know before usingThe MRSL controls manufacturing inputs within its stated scope. One formulation status or self-generated facility inventory report does not by itself prove a complete or externally verified chemical inventory, actual order recipe, implementation, worker protection, emissions, wastewater performance, or finished-product compliance. Verify the current version, law, brand program, safety rules, formulation identity and status, complete facility and order records, inventory-verification state, and finished-product RSL and testing requirements. The interface and plan description do not prove tester reach, completion, feedback quality, fit validity, export quality, uptime, support, or suitability for an established release process. Measurements and photos can be sensitive personal data. Run a non-critical pilot, review the current privacy and service terms, define consent and photo rights, test exports and deletion, and keep pattern approval and release responsibility with the designer. This is an occupational and apprenticeship standard, not a practitioner directory, course guarantee, provider endorsement, professional license, universal pattern method, or proof that an individual meets the standard. It reflects a UK apprenticeship context and does not establish current vacancies, provider quality, funding eligibility, assessment outcome, experience, workmanship, availability, price, or fit for a particular project. Verify version, delivery, training, assessment, employment, and portfolio evidence directly.

Source and review
What the source establishesZDHC's current scope defines the MRSL as restrictions on intentional use of listed substances in commercial chemical formulations for textile, leather, rubber, foam, adhesive, and trim processing. Covered inputs include cleaners, dyes, auxiliaries, coatings, finishing agents, maintenance, wastewater-treatment, sanitation, and pest-control chemicals. ZDHC identifies version 3.1 as the current official MRSL, distinguishes formulation conformance from finished-product restrictions, and states that an ordinary Performance InCheck facility inventory is self-generated rather than externally verified.Pattern Testers currently offers application intake, tester selection, feedback, photos, approvals, issue tracking, revisions, a reusable tester directory, and release deadlines. The public pricing page shows a limited free plan and paid Pro and Business tiers. Its June 2026 privacy policy lists names, email addresses, measurements, photos, feedback, application history, and assignments among the data processed.Skills England lists Fashion and Textiles Pattern Cutter ST0541 as approved for delivery, Level 3, version 1.1, updated December 10, 2025. The standard covers interpreting design briefs, drafting blocks and prototypes, taking measurements, using manual or CAD systems, overseeing sample production, evaluating size, fit, shape, fall, style and design, rectifying patterns, creating final master patterns, maintaining technical records, and handing production information to staff or suppliers.
