Know before usingThe MRSL controls manufacturing inputs within its stated scope. It does not by itself prove a facility's chemical inventory, implementation, worker protection, emissions, wastewater performance, formulation conformance, or finished-product compliance. Verify the current version, law, brand program, safety rules, chemical-product certificates and status, facility records, and finished-product RSL and testing requirements. The guide's general womenswear diagrams and ease ranges are teaching examples, not an individual diagnosis, current commercial-pattern specification, or complete fitting course. A named symptom can have several causes, and alterations may affect adjoining seams, facings, collars, sleeves, balance, and style. Verify the method against the exact pattern and test the coordinated changes on a muslin.

Source and review
What the source establishesZDHC's current scope defines the MRSL as restrictions on intentional use of listed substances in commercial chemical formulations for textile, leather, rubber, foam, adhesive, and trim processing. Covered inputs include cleaners, dyes, auxiliaries, coatings, finishing agents, maintenance, wastewater-treatment, sanitation, and pest-control chemicals. ZDHC's help centre identifies version 3.1 as the current official MRSL and distinguishes it from restrictions measured in finished products.New Mexico State University's current Cooperative Extension Guide C-228 explains three alteration methods, folding out fullness, slashing and spreading or overlapping, and redrawing darts or seams. It provides illustrated bodice, sleeve, skirt, and trouser examples and tells readers to compare body measurements plus intended ease with the pattern while preserving grain, design lines, related-piece changes, and comfort ease.
