Know before usingCommunity members add and quality-control the records, so confirm sizing, measurements, fabric suggestions, format, availability, errata, license, and purchase terms with the designer or publisher. Adding an entry to a stash does not provide the pattern files. Saved searches and private PDF storage are paid Plus features, and a listing or review does not establish pattern accuracy or fit. This is a general standards gateway, not a textile-only checklist or a statement that every result is mandatory, current for the intended product, or freely downloadable. Compulsory status depends on the exact product scope, Quality Control Order, gazette notice, implementation date, and certification scheme. Confirm classification, the current standard and amendments, access terms, applicable order, testing, marking, and legal obligations before making or importing goods.

Source and review
What the source establishesThreadloop's official guide describes an independent, fully crowdsourced database covering available and out-of-print sewing patterns. Its search supports pattern type, fabric type, age group, body type, cup size, level, format, file features, language, measurements, availability, and other filters; members can also track a stash, wishlist, projects, reviews, and discussions. Current terms state that the free plan requires no card, paid upgrades start billing immediately, cancellation retains paid features through the current cycle, and the account then returns to free features.BIS describes Know Your Standard as a search by Indian Standard number or product keyword. The connected result system can expose the standard, amendments, gazette notifications, schemes of inspection and testing, licensees, recognized laboratories, classification details, and responsible committee. BIS separately explains that certification is generally voluntary but can become compulsory through a central-government Quality Control Order, with current scheme and product routes linked from its compulsory-certification page.
