Know before usingCoverage is quilting-specific and uneven by country; businesses can pay for enhanced features, and community or owner updates do not verify inventory, service quality, hours, or availability. This is Woolmark-operated education focused on wool, not a neutral comparison of all fibres or processing systems. A completion badge records coursework, not independent proof of production competence, product performance, environmental impact, or compliance. Confirm technical values and local requirements against current standards before production use. This is a general educational reference, not a neutral material ranking, complete fibre encyclopedia, specification, test report, sourcing database, lifecycle assessment, certification, safety procedure, or proof of a product claim. Coverage and citation depth vary by page, and some environmental, care, performance, or end-of-life statements are broad. Fibre name alone does not establish a fabric's construction, blend percentage, finish, quality, behavior, or suitability. Confirm the exact composition, construction, finish, care label, sample behavior, test evidence, certification scope, and project requirements with the responsible supplier, scheme, laboratory, or specialist.

What the source establishesQuiltMap describes free public search and free basic listings, community submissions and claims, and country routes covering North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Australia. The current Woolmark Learning Centre library publishes free account-based coursework with module counts, completion times, progress tracking, knowledge checks, and supporting resources. Its wool programs cover fibre science, raw-wool and yarn processing, dyeing and finishing, woven textiles, knitwear, product quality, and wastewater management for learners and facilitators. The live QUT index says the knowledge base is designed to help users choose an appropriate textile and extend garment use. It links 14 topics: nine named fibre pages, textile blends, re-making, reuse, recycling, and repair. Checked silk, polyester, wool, and blend pages organize information under overview, common fabrics, context of use, care, recycling, and further reading where applicable. QUT identifies TextileR as a research group and publishes named researchers, publications, objectives, and a direct contact.
