| Best for | Inspecting body-measurement, garment-block, paper-prototype, test-pattern, cutting, and pattern-refinement instruction in an Indonesian vocational textbook | Documenting a bounded sample-to-area yarn calculation when the equivalent area is already known and genuinely comparable with the sample |
| Know before using | This is a 2013 Indonesian-language vocational school textbook, not a current national competency standard, universal block or sizing system, professional qualification, ready-to-sew pattern, or proof of individual fit. Some equipment, terminology, pedagogy, body classification, formulas, measurement practices, and construction assumptions may be dated or unsuitable for another person, material, product, or production setting. Confirm current equipment instructions, target-body evidence, ease, material behavior, representative samples, accessibility, and fit evaluation before applying its methods. | The worksheet does not establish that a sample represents a project, derive the area of shaped pieces, account for construction or openings, prescribe reserve, supply typical project quantities, round to packages, verify label values, guarantee required quantity, check dye-lot supply, or replace a tested pattern amount. Yarn, tool, maker, strand count, stitch or texture, density, treatment, finishing, planned area, and supply decisions remain project-specific. |

| What the source establishes | Indonesia's Ministry of Education repository publishes Dasar Pola II as a 294-page vocational school book and learning module prepared by the government for the initial Curriculum 2013 implementation. The record names the Directorate for Vocational Secondary School Development and provides a direct PDF under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license. The textbook covers clothing foundations, materials and tools, body measurement, human dimensions, basic patterns, paper prototypes, cutting, and pattern refinement. It distinguishes commercial, drafted, draped, graded, test, production, and block patterns, and includes bodice and sleeve systems plus dart relocation, length and size changes, design-line development, and pattern testing. | The worksheet performs visible proportional arithmetic on user-entered sample dimensions, sample yarn length or weight-derived length, equivalent area, and optional reserve. Craft Yarn Council pattern-writing guidance says yarn amounts and package counts should be recorded in instructions, and its consumer guidance ties project instructions to a stated yarn amount and representative gauge; those sources do not establish a universal sample-to-area method, project range, or reserve. NIST defines 1 yard as exactly 0.9144 metre for the secondary unit display. |
