Its Basic Pattern Development chapter covers body and dress-form measurement, size relationships, patternmaking tools and terms, fit and balance, muslin test fitting, block correction, bodice, sleeve and skirt blocks, seam allowances, grain lines, notches, necklines, collars, and dart manipulation. The stated learning outcomes include developing blocks from charts and body measurements, testing fit, correcting the pattern, and developing simple designs from basic blocks. | The maintained Seamly2D repository identifies the application as GPLv3+ open-source patternmaking software for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It reads multi-size measurement files for standardized sizes and individual measurement files for custom-fit work, publishes downloadable builds and releases, and links an active website and user forum. | Rechecked July 28, 2026.
