Know before usingThe portal does not decide whether a product requires certification, identify the correct rules or certificate data, classify an entry, replace the current 16 CFR part 1110 text, or reconcile a filing to an actual shipment. Effective dates and workflows differ by entry route; use current CPSC, CBP, customs, product-safety, and legal review. The platform combines stakeholder-contributed, public-list, facility-claimed, and partner data with different origins and update paths. A facility record, contributor connection, claim, certification field, or shared OS ID is not a quality endorsement, ownership finding, complete supplier relationship, current capacity statement, or due-diligence result. Inspect the source badges, contributors, dates, duplicates, claimed fields, and linked evidence, then verify the facility and intended business relationship directly. The interface and plan description do not prove tester reach, completion, feedback quality, fit validity, export quality, uptime, support, or suitability for an established release process. Measurements and photos can be sensitive personal data. Run a non-critical pilot, review the current privacy and service terms, define consent and photo rights, test exports and deletion, and keep pattern approval and release responsibility with the designer.

Source and review
What the source establishesCPSC operates the eFiling portal with role-specific importer, broker, applicability, Product Registry, regulated-product, laboratory, ACE, FAQ, video, and document-library routes. The certificate final rule took effect July 8, 2026 for covered non-FTZ products, with separate timing for covered FTZ entries.Open Supply Hub's current guide supports facility-name or OS ID, contributor, location, sector, parent-company, facility-type, processing-type, product-type, and worker-count searches, with contributor information visible on facility data. Manual search is open, a free account supports bounded data downloads, and paid services cover larger or programmatic access.Pattern Testers currently offers application intake, tester selection, feedback, photos, approvals, issue tracking, revisions, a reusable tester directory, and release deadlines.
