| What the source establishes | The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Product Safety page identifies the Consumer Goods (Care Labelling) Information Standard 2023 as the mandatory rule for prescribed clothing, household textiles, furnishings, bedding, piece goods, textile yarns, leather, fur, and other listed goods. It publishes the main exclusions, states that suppliers may use English care instructions, the five internationally recognised care symbols, or both, and links the registered instrument and explanatory statement. It also states that the rule draws on specified parts of AS/NZS 1957:1998 and ISO 3758:2012 and that non-compliance can lead to penalties or a recall obligation. | Pattern Testers currently offers application intake, tester selection, feedback, photos, approvals, issue tracking, revisions, a reusable tester directory, and release deadlines.
