Know before usingPricing is not public, modules and system requirements must be confirmed, and macOS is not supported. Vendor accuracy and fit language does not prove results for an actual product. Pilot native and exchanged files with the receiving supplier, calibrated materials, approved blocks and grade rules, marker and output devices, tech-pack fields, training, version control, and risk-appropriate physical fit and production checks.A suggested match is a data-based shortlist, not proof that the yarn suits the pattern or maker. Yarn records can be incomplete or wrong, prices and availability vary by market, and the site uses affiliate links. Confirm the required gauge, total length, fibre behavior, construction, care, color, dye lot, accessibility, and seller terms, then make and assess a representative swatch before committing. This is a business-guidance overview, not the controlling legal text, legal advice, a product classification, an approved label, or a complete market-access checklist. Product composition, exemptions, business-to-business documents, fibre names, language, placement, durability, national enforcement, safety, chemicals, environmental claims, care, customs, and other rules require product- and market-specific review. Confirm Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 and current EU and national requirements before sale. This is Woolmark-operated education focused on wool, not a neutral comparison of all fibres or processing systems. A completion badge records coursework, not independent proof of production competence, product performance, environmental impact, or compliance. Confirm technical values and local requirements against current standards before production use.

Source and review
What the source establishesOptitex's current page describes 2D pattern creation, grading, verification, Tech Pack Essentials, marker creation and nesting, cut and plot output, 3D virtual samples, fabric simulation, colour and print placement, tension maps, and avatar editing. Its support page lists native and standard CAD interchange routes and states that Optitex does not support macOS.YarnSub's official FAQ says its matching software compares gauge, texture, yarn weight and density, fibre content, and fibre qualities such as drape and softness. Discontinued yarns remain searchable as starting points but are excluded from suggested replacements, and each yarn page provides a route to report source-data problems. The current Your Europe page says textile products marketed to EU consumers generally require a firmly attached label showing fibre composition and any non-textile parts of animal origin. It identifies an 80-percent-by-weight textile threshold for covered examples, decreasing-percentage composition order, permitted fibre names, clear separation from care information, and translation into the official languages of each EU country where the product is offered. The current Woolmark Learning Centre library publishes free account-based coursework with module counts, completion times, progress tracking, knowledge checks, and supporting resources. Its wool programs cover fibre science, raw-wool and yarn processing, dyeing and finishing, woven textiles, knitwear, product quality, and wastewater management for learners and facilitators.
