Best forChecking which U.S. alias the current Craft Yarn Council table gives a known metric package size before confirming project gaugeStructured wool educationPlanning the current CPSC certificate-data handoff for regulated imports with the importer, finished-product certifier, customs broker, and entry recordsDocumenting how a pattern-based fabric quantity becomes an order length
Know before usingThe reference is not a dimensional measurement, manufacturer inspection, UK or Canadian conversion, steel-hook chart, tool recommendation, yarn assignment, gauge result, or proof that a proposed tool will produce the required fabric. This is Woolmark-operated education focused on wool, not a neutral comparison of all fibres or processing systems. A completion badge records coursework, not independent proof of production competence, product performance, environmental impact, or compliance. Confirm technical values and local requirements against current standards before production use.The portal does not decide whether a product requires certification, identify the correct rules or certificate data, classify an entry, replace the current 16 CFR part 1110 text, or reconcile a filing to an actual shipment. Effective dates and workflows differ by entry route; use current CPSC, CBP, customs, product-safety, and legal review. The planner adds and rounds user-entered lengths; it does not create a cutting layout, infer shrinkage or matching allowances, compensate for a width change, establish usable width, or prove that the order quantity is sufficient.

Source and review
What the source establishesThe lookup reproduces the current public Craft Yarn Council metric and U.S. alias rows and follows the Council's warning that company letter and number labels vary; blank aliases remain blank instead of being inferred. The current Woolmark Learning Centre library publishes free account-based coursework with module counts, completion times, progress tracking, knowledge checks, and supporting resources. Its wool programs cover fibre science, raw-wool and yarn processing, dyeing and finishing, woven textiles, knitwear, product quality, and wastewater management for learners and facilitators.CPSC operates the eFiling portal with role-specific importer, broker, applicability, Product Registry, regulated-product, laboratory, ACE, FAQ, video, and document-library routes. The certificate final rule took effect July 8, 2026 for covered non-FTZ products, with separate timing for covered FTZ entries.NIST defines 1 yard as exactly 0.9144 metre. Sewing & Craft Alliance guidance ties an applicable cutting layout to the exact view, size, fabric width, and nap condition and recommends layout work when listed conditions do not fit the project.
