| What the source establishes | FreeSewing's official documentation says the browser editor drafts a selected design in real time from a measurement set rather than scaling or grading a standard-size pattern. Users can adjust design options and export the generated result, including as PDF; saving the pattern to an account is optional and is used to revisit it later. | Thailand's TPQI-NET publishes this July 20, 2023 revision for the textile and garment profession, garment sewing branch, Pattern Maker Level 5. It contains two competency units: creating patterns for garment production and assessing consumer needs. Patternmaking elements cover analyzing a form to create a pattern, creating and completing the pattern, and developing a suitable production-standard pattern. Criteria include accounting for fabric and decorative materials, preparing equipment, constructing the specified pattern, checking and improving it for production, and developing the process. Assessment uses interviews and work demonstrations. Eligibility requires at least three years of patternmaking experience, and the stated target group is pattern department managers and senior pattern managers. | Threadloop's official guide describes an independent, fully crowdsourced database covering available and out-of-print sewing patterns.
