| What the source establishes | BIS describes Know Your Standard as a search by Indian Standard number or product keyword. The connected result system can expose the standard, amendments, gazette notifications, schemes of inspection and testing, licensees, recognized laboratories, classification details, and responsible committee. BIS separately explains that certification is generally voluntary but can become compulsory through a central-government Quality Control Order, with current scheme and product routes linked from its compulsory-certification page. | YarnSub's official FAQ says its matching software compares gauge, texture, yarn weight and density, fibre content, and fibre qualities such as drape and softness.
