| Know before using | This is a competency and assessment reference, not an instructional course, pattern file, qualification by reading, provider recommendation, professional license, or proof that a person can perform the work. The route does not establish enrollment availability, teaching quality, fees, support, recognition outside Australia, or product-specific fit. Confirm the current unit status, packaging rules, prerequisites, registered provider, assessment conditions, local requirements, and actual evidence before relying on it. | Source-reviewed describes the page and its cited decision boundaries. It does not authenticate a commercial roll, seller claim, fibre percentage, construction, finish, performance result, machine setting, care route, compliance status, supplier, or product fitness. Internal browse bands are navigation labels, not textile standards or product classes; an entry without a usable listed mass range is unclassified. Check the actual article, seller data, care label, equipment instructions, representative assemblies, applicable rules, and project requirements before deciding. | Pricing is not public, modules and system requirements must be confirmed, and macOS is not supported. Vendor accuracy and fit language does not prove results for an actual product. Pilot native and exchanged files with the receiving supplier, calibrated materials, approved blocks and grade rules, marker and output devices, tech-pack fields, training, version control, and risk-appropriate physical fit and production checks. |

| What the source establishes | Australia's National Training Register publishes current unit MSTAT3002, Develop patterns using basic patternmaking principles. The release document describes interpreting textile-product design specifications, considering fabric performance, selecting tools and equipment, developing patterns, testing the result, and making alterations. Release 1 was generated December 22, 2022 and merged two earlier units. Current Australian apparel and live-production qualifications list MSTAT3002, while the current diploma also exposes advanced individual-fit, alteration, and fit-model units. | All 50 current cloth entries meet the source-reviewed content contract. The public index, cards, permanent pages, and site search expose that state, while the repository audit enforces a current review date, substantive scope, decision boundaries, and at least three external sources. The migrated cases cover fibre and family representations, woven and knitted construction, open nets, raised and dimensional surfaces, mass, thickness, drape, elasticity, colour, seams, pressing, care state, supports, and complete-product decisions. | Optitex's current page describes 2D pattern creation, grading, verification, Tech Pack Essentials, marker creation and nesting, cut and plot output, 3D virtual samples, fabric simulation, colour and print placement, tension maps, and avatar editing. Its support page lists native and standard CAD interchange routes and states that Optitex does not support macOS. |
