It does not by itself prove a facility's chemical inventory, implementation, worker protection, emissions, wastewater performance, formulation conformance, or finished-product compliance. Verify the current version, law, brand program, safety rules, chemical-product certificates and status, facility records, and finished-product RSL and testing requirements. | These are vendor-authored process starting points, not guarantees of shade, fastness, discharge quality, worker safety, wastewater acceptability, or production repeatability. Results vary with fibre preparation, water, temperature, pH, dye lot, auxiliaries, equipment, and studio conditions. | What the source establishes | ZDHC's current scope defines the MRSL as restrictions on intentional use of listed substances in commercial chemical formulations for textile, leather, rubber, foam, adhesive, and trim processing. Covered inputs include cleaners, dyes, auxiliaries, coatings, finishing agents, maintenance, wastewater-treatment, sanitation, and pest-control chemicals. ZDHC's help centre identifies version 3.1 as the current official MRSL and distinguishes it from restrictions measured in finished products. | Maiwa's current instruction-sheet page provides free web or PDF guidance for natural dyes, mordants and assistants, several indigo-vat methods, kakishibu, symplocos, mineral pigments, katazome, block printing, paste resist, batik, silk painting, and stretching and steaming cloth.
