Inspecting the task and assessment scope of Japan's national ready-to-wear patternmaking standard before planning training, hiring evidence, or further qualification research

What the source establishes

Japan's national skill-testing system includes women's and children's ready-to-wear patternmaking. JAVADA describes Level 1 as making judgments and patterns from a brand concept and Level 2 as making patterns under a supervisor's direction. The task covers work instructions, process analysis, patternmaking, product inspection, clothing and material knowledge, color, trends, and safety. Current scoring criteria include toile assembly, design patterns, sewing specifications, and work attitude at Level 1, plus design and industrial patterns, dimensions, workmanship, and allowances at Level 2. The ministry's detailed standard also includes JIS pattern, body, and size terminology.

The linked responsible-body page states the jurisdiction and requirements summarized in this record.

What this record does not prove

This Japanese-language competency reference is not a course, pattern file, provider directory, license-to-practice requirement, hiring recommendation, or proof of an individual's skill. It focuses on women's and children's ready-to-wear patternmaking. The checked 2026 annual implementation plan and unified schedules do not establish a currently offered ready-to-wear patternmaking test. Confirm future schedules, prefectural implementation, grade, eligibility, fees, language, and current task documents with the responsible bodies.

A reachable official source can verify identity, stated scope, and access. It cannot silently become an audit of workmanship, delivery, labor conditions, or suitability for your project.
