Best forReviewing a Nepal fashion-design syllabus, learning plan, portfolio, or training comparison against a public diploma sequence for patternmaking and grading
Know before usingThis is a 2016 curriculum that remains on CTEVT's current curriculum list, not evidence of a 2026 revision, a current course opening, approved-provider roster, enrollment offer, practitioner directory, qualification award, ready pattern, universal block, measurement, grading, or fit system, or individual competence. Some listed references and methods are older, and the public route does not establish which institutions currently deliver the diploma or specialization. Confirm the current curriculum file, amendments, affiliated institution, admission, delivery, assessment, award, tools, software, cost, accessibility, and product- and population-specific fit evidence directly.

What the source establishesNepal's Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training currently lists the Diploma in Fashion Design, 2016 as a three-year diploma curriculum and places it outside the page's separate phasing-out section. The connected 130-page curriculum introduces body and garment measurement and pattern cutting in earlier clothing-construction modules. Semester V assigns eight hours per week to Principle of Pattern Making, including standard and personal body measurements, foundation patterns, full-scale children's, women's, and men's prototypes, skirt variations, dart manipulation, and shirt variations. Semester VI offers an eight-week Pattern Making and Grading specialization at 12 hours per week, covering grading charts, bodices, skirts, sleeves, collars, trousers, style adaptation, and patterns for different sizes and mass production.
