Know before usingThis is a national competency standard, not a current course schedule, accredited-provider list, enrollment offer, practitioner directory, qualification award, ready pattern, universal block, grading, measurement, or fit system, or proof of individual competence. The public PDF's approval page retains blank Executive Committee meeting fields even though its validation section gives an August 24, 2022 date, so do not infer an unshown meeting number or date. The portal record does not explain every amendment or provider relationship. Confirm the current version, accredited provider, delivery, assessment, award, equipment, workplace context, cost, accessibility, and product- and population-specific fit evidence directly.

What the source establishesBangladesh's National Skills Development Authority publishes the Competency Standard for Fashion Design and Product Development, Level 3, in its validated-standards collection. The 62-page standard is coded CS-RMGT-FDPD-L3-EN-V1 and states that NSDA validated it on August 24, 2022. Its course structure includes measurement and calculations, design development, a 70-hour Create Patterns unit, and product development. Pattern outcomes cover analyzing human figures and measurements, preparing and verifying blocks against measurement charts, adding seam allowances and cut information, marking grain lines, and producing block and production patterns. Product-development outcomes include using production patterns, checking measurements, performing a fit test, recording results, and recognizing sample approval, adjustment, and grading within the construction process.
