Checking whether a named textile product and licence holder appears in the current EU Ecolabel catalogue before requesting scope evidence
What the source establishes.
The European Commission catalogue provides category browsing and quick search for EU Ecolabel goods and services, including clothing and textiles, and states that certified-product data can also be downloaded from the EU Open Data Portal or accessed through an API.
The linked public-body directory describes and maintains the records or discovery route summarized here for its stated program and jurisdiction.
What this record does not prove.
The Commission states that licence holders are responsible for registering their products, so the catalogue can be non-exhaustive; a match applies only to the listed product and licence scope and does not establish supplier capacity, commercial fit, every environmental claim, or broader company performance.
A reachable official source can verify identity, stated scope, and access. It cannot silently become an audit of workmanship, delivery, labor conditions, or suitability for your project.
A record that can age in public.
New checks are appended rather than replacing earlier states. The latest source review is due by October 13, 2026.
